However, FY2025 funds have not been released to the SHPOs, and FY2026 funds are at risk of significant cuts. This lack of funding could have a profound impact on a project recently initiated by the Suffield Historical Society to restore the 260-year-old Alexander King House, which is listed on the National Register.  As the country enters the celebratory period of America 250, preserving our historic places should be a high priority nationwide.
